Preparing for engine pull...

 

I started prep'ing the motor for pull...

Drained & pulled the radiator

While Jerry rebuilt the relay rod...

Radiator is out

Removing the heater hoses

Carb. linkage

Oil pressure line fitting

Overflow tank

Electrical (coil) connections

Battery removed

Cardboard under the battery...

Ahhh, rust hole in battery tray

What's this?

It's an old Craftsman screwdriver that was found down below the battery tray

Removed alternator bracket & passenger header

Starter wiring disconnected

Fuel pump removed

A-arm install, front brakes & coilovers

 

Installing the upper & lower A-arms

Permatex anti-seize lube to the shock threads

Coilover installed, moving onto the knuckle

Spanner wrench adjustments

Mounting the Wilwood rotor brackets

Rotors assembled and ready to install

Torquing to spec.

Mounting the caliper

Driver side complete

We used 3 Wilwood shims on both sides. Perfectly centered!

Front brakes complete - back on 4 wheels/tires

Rear-end & rear suspension back together...

Rebuilt rear carrier ready to go back in...

Mounting the rear cross-member onto carrier

Bolting up the cross-member & tongue

Mounting the half-shafts and torquing to spec.

Mounting the rear struts/strut bracket

Reconnecting the rear shocks

Mounting the rear leafspring

Rear suspension back together!

Moving onto the fronts (preparing the rotors)...
